Deleting your account and data
Last updated 18 September 2026
There are two ways out of LifeHQ and they do different things. Both are in the app under Settings, both ask for your password, and both offer you a full copy of your data first. Neither has an undo or a grace period.
Delete all data, and keep the account
Empties the account and leaves it standing. You keep your email address, your password, your authenticator, the devices you are signed in on and your subscription. Everything you put in is removed.
Use this to start again without cancelling and re-subscribing, or before handing a machine on.
- Sign in at mylifehq.app.
- Go to Settings and find Delete all data.
- Take the export if you want one — it is offered on the same screen.
- Type DELETE, enter your password, and confirm.
Close the account entirely
Removes the account itself along with everything in it. The email address is freed and can be used to sign up again later as a new, empty account.
- Sign in at mylifehq.app.
- Go to Settings and find Close your account.
- Take the export if you want one.
- Type your email address, enter your password, and confirm.
What is deleted
Everything you created: calendars and events, todo lists and tasks, contacts, memos, recipes, shopping lists, habits, alarms and reminders, and everything held by the modules — meal plans, chores, subscriptions, medications, journal entries and their pictures, gift ideas, home inventory and its photographs, vehicles and their service history, news subscriptions, video playlists, workouts and flash card sets.
Anything you had shared stops being shared at the same moment. Messages you sent are removed, including from the conversations they are in.
What is kept, and for how long
- Backups. The nightly database backup is encrypted and kept on a rolling schedule. A copy of deleted data ages out with those backups rather than disappearing the same second. It is not reachable from the app and is never restored selectively.
- Payment records. If you ever paid, the payment processor keeps the transaction record for as long as tax and accounting law requires. That is held by them, not by us, and contains no content from your account.
- Your links to other people survive Delete all data, because a connection is a relationship rather than a possession. Closing the account removes them.
If you cannot sign in
Email jason@brewhahacoffeehouse.com from the address on the account and say which of the two you want. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before doing anything, and confirm when it is done.
